They did a marvelous job on examining my eyes and found a problem with my right eye! He wants an MRI done soon to rule out a stroke or a tumor!

My visit was an urgent situation with sudden onset of problems with my left eye. I called the Round Rock office and they set me up immediately with Dr Chexell. The Dr and her staff quickly examined my eyes, found the issue and performed a laser repair of a tear in the affected eye. It was an easy, walk in and out experience. Kudos to Dr Chexell and her staff.

Recently had catAract surgery. Follow up visit with that Dr suggested my retina was torn. Was able to get in immediately and had surgery the following morning. Follow up day after. So far so good

First Impression: NO. my appt was scheduled @12:30 but upon arrival found office locked, no sign indicating out to lunch, rude person answered phone. Second Impression: As I'm being checked in as a new patient, front desk person immediately checks in gentleman behind me apparently he's a returning patient, doesn't matter...seemed a bit rude. Third Impression: They escort the patient whose appt was after mine in first. Fourth Impression: I wasn't told that the doctor wasn't even in the building due to an emergency surgery (not her fault) but I wasn't given the opportunity up front to simply reschedule my appt, which would have been the best thing but instead I sat in a room.for almost 45 minutes awaiting the doctor's return. Final Impression: At the end, the doctor was very attentive, came discussed her findings and sent me on my way. Overall, the doctor and her assistant very knowledgeable and polite. Finalnl piece of advice for her staff, if the doctor is out for whatever reason give the patients the opportunity to simply reschedule..NO ONE HAS TIME TO SIT AND WAIT. TREAT ALL PATIENTS WITH RESPECT

This review is for your office only. Your office and company have a good reputation and high reviews and you have so many customers because of this. I trust I will and I am getting good care. You probably need to get a bigger office because it was full of customers and rightly so because you have a good reputation. No one ever took my medications update. Always said the next room I went to would do that. I’ve had quite a few changes and I need those changes documented in case I get into an emergency. Everyone was rushed due to the crowd but doing a good job. I’ll drop my medications list by sometime this week. I understand it was a busy day and I never mine waiting because I know I’m being treated by the best Doctors.

Last Tuesday was a good session. There was little waiting time, and the testing went well, although it was a shorter session in the sequence. The final injection resulted in no blood in the eye, although it stung a bit more, perhaps due to the new medicine used. I felt some side-effects the next day, a general malaise and lack of energy. I don't know if it was a function of the new med or something else. I didn't eat anything that morning and did not eat lunch until mid-afternoon, so that may have been a factor. I didn't feel energetic that whole week.

Every step of my exam proceeds like clock work. First my vision is tested, then my eyes dilated, then off to camera which takes pictures of my eyes and transfers them to a computer screen. Dr. Chexal is outstanding. She does a terrific job explaining what she is doing and what she has found, as well as outlining next steps. Her tech staff seems skilled and knowledgeable as well. They whisked me through a series of tests with ease. The front desk experience, however, wasn’t great. The woman working the desk is a poor communicator—barely audible during the rare moments that she actually says something. When I checked out at the end of my appointment I asked her if she needed anything from me: Copay, etc. Without a word or expression she tapped a few keys on her keyboard and mumbled, “As needed.” I was confused. “Pardon me?” “It says ‘as needed,’” she replied. Then I realized she thought I was asking about a follow-up appointment, which I didn’t need. But it was up to me to crack that mystery on my own. She’s like a Sphinx, this one. Unknowable. I’m still rating this practice 5 stars despite that whole front office business. Dr. Chexal and her tech staff will take great care of you, and let’s be honest: that’s what matters in the end.

Appointment was pn schedule. Questions were satisfactorily answered. The eye drops used to dilate my eyes are significantly more potent than those I have received from other eye doctors so it took noticeably to recover normal vision..

When we got to the office, we were really early. We apologize to the receptionist for disturbing her lunch. Each process of the eye exam was done with professionalism and patience. My exam with Dr. Chexal was great. She reassured me that my retinas on both eyes were still attached with no holes or tares. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Chexall and her staff.

I was referred for a tear in my retina. The doctor was very professional and the laser procedure was done quickly.

Today it took me over an hour and a half to see the doctor and several people that came after me saw the doctor before me. I also waited 30 minutes to even go back to the back. The receptionist asked me thirty minutes after I checked in with her if I was waiting to drive a patient home. I informed her I WAS the patient.

I was referred to Dr. Jhaveri from a co-worker to get a second opinion and he found a substantial blindspot in my son's right eye with an active infection that could have caused complete blindness if not detected. My son has been a patient for 7 years and I cannot say enough positive things about this group of professionals.

my experience was ok. Dr. Chexal is clearly very capable but could use a little help with her bedside manner. I was unaware that having laser surgery on the day of my first appointment was even a possibility. She presented it as a strong recommendation without a discussion of any kind. When it was over, I was still blind in one eye and they were hurrying me out of the chair. Not a great patient care experience. I had trouble driving home because I was wearing glasses and it was so bright I couldn't get the horrible sunglasses to work.

The staff and doctors are great and I appreciate their experience but the appointment did feel extremely rushed, which is stressful when you’ve having so much testing done at once. Also there was a medical student in training invited into the room which is fine, but the doctor was talking to him more than me before I spoke up that it made me feel uncomfortable. It just wasn’t the greatest bedside manner. Hope this feedback helps them improve the experience for other patients who aren’t comfortable with that situation.

A little more detail as to what was causing my problem. Was it the dislocation of lens’s that was causing clouding of eye or was it the high pressure or was the dislocation causing the high pressure or maybe something else? I did have bad sinus problem which I understand can cause visual problems.
